Power market reporters Poland
Montel, an independent energy news and information provider, seeks two Poland-based reporters to cover the country’s power market in Polish and English. The news beat will encompass regular power market coverage, energy sector developments, as well as political and regulatory developments in Poland.
The positions are open to both junior and more experienced reporters looking to develop their journalism skills and energy markets competence in a busy newswire environment. Both reporters will be instrumental in developing Montel’s Polish-language news service from scratch.
The two roles will augment an international team of journalists and editors who set the standard for energy market coverage in Europe on a daily basis. Montel already reports on the Polish market in English from a bureau in Szczecin.
Main duties and skills required
Proven track record in delivering high-quality copy, and some experience covering European power and/or related markets would be an advantage.
Native level fluency in Polish and professional proficiency in English, as the positions will involve translations of news between both languages.
Solid knowledge of the political processes at all levels in Poland and ideally also the European Union.
Terms
Both positions are open to candidates who are self-employed and seeking a contracted agreement with a client offering competitive rates, as well as a solid, long-term and professional working relationship.
